Information for Suppliers

The Procurement function within the Finance Department supports purchasing activities across the University, aligning procurement best practice with the needs of the University and its students, delivering value for money, legal compliance and sustainability, in accordance with the University’s Sustainability Framework.

Compliance with EU and UK Legislation

The University is a public sector organisation and must comply with the European Directives for Supplies, Services and Works, transposed into UK Law as the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. The requirements of this legislation are enshrined in the University’s key Procurement documents.

Equality & Diversity

The University encourages diversity in its supply chain and also takes into account when contacting suppliers that they reflect the diverse community in which we operate. The University also requires suppliers to comply with Equality legislation.

Standard Conditions

The University’s standard Conditions of Contract for the purchase of goods and serviceswill apply to most transactions, unless stated otherwise at the time of purchase.

Supplying to Leeds Arts University

The University carries out its own procurement for a variety of goods and services, by obtaining competitive quotations, or by carrying formal tender exercises, depending on value.

The University is also a member of NEUPC (North Eastern Universities Purchasing Consortium) and CPC (Crescent Purchasing Consortium), both of which offer a large number of Framework Agreements which are available for the University to use without the need to carry out an open quotation or tender exercise. We also utilise CCS (Crown Commercial Services) Frameworks where applicable.

The University uses the Delta eProcurement System to publish details of its current and upcoming tender opportunities.
