Student Ambassador

Would you like to be a student ambassador?

Student ambassadors play a vital support role in many events and activities at Leeds College of Art. In the role you will be maintaining the reputation of the College, sharing first hand insights about what it’s like to study here and encouraging new students from all backgrounds to consider studying at the College.


Student ambassadors get involved with many activities including open days, UCAS fairs, exhibitions, private views, Widening Particpation outreach work, Young Creatives Art School, reception and office work.


If you have the following skills then we would like to receive an application from you

  • Good communications skills, able to speak to any visitor that comes into the College
  • Friendly and approachable with good customer service skills
  • Able to work in a busy environment and think on their feet
  • Passionate about their course and College
  • Knowledgeable about student life and other courses in the College
  • Reliable with good time keeping and organisational skills

Work as a student ambassador is paid casual employment that you can fit in around your studies.


How to apply


When positions are available the role is promoted via student College email, to apply students must fill in an application form, and if selected, attend an interview for the role. Usually undergraduate student ambassadors are recruited in January, and all other students are recruited in autumn. Though depending on demand ambassadors can be recruited at any time of the year. If you are interested in the role we encourage you to submit an application at any time of the year, then we will invite you to interview during the following recruitment cycle.

  • If we don’t respond immediately don’t panic, we will respond to all the applications during the recruitment time.
  • If you are completing the form on a Mac ensure the document you send it compatible with Word on a PC.
