Programme Information

Your Student Handbook Section 1 concentrates on specific programme matters. This section of the Student Handbook tells you about your programme and how you can make the best use of your opportunities whilst studying here.
The Module specifications outline the aims and objectives of each module that you will study, including module content, credit values and assessment methods.
The Programme specification provides information about what, when and how you will learn, including the expected standard of the award you are studying towards.
College Information
Student Handbook Section 2 College - this section of the Student Handbook provides you with general information about the College.
HS (Health & Safety) Induction provides guidelines on how to remain safe and healthy whilst studying at the College. The document emphasises that everybody has a responsibility to protect the health and safety of themselves and others when carrying out any activity.
The Student Charter summarises your rights and responsibilities as a member of the College Community.
If you are in doubt about any aspect of the information presented on these pages, or require clarification of any points within the regulations you MUST consult somebody from your programme team.
Regulations and Assessment Criteria
Regulations for UG programmes validated by the Open University (updated for 2011-12) outline the regulations relevant to your programme and also contain the Code of Practice on Assessment .
Assessment Criteria are used by your tutors when assessing your work. Using these criteria as a guide, your tutors will consider how well you have achieved the learning outcomes on the brief. The criteria are as follows:
